Water Chestnut Pulling Volunteer Event at Lake Musconetcong - July 15, 2017
Posted: June 22, 2017
Water chestnut is an invasive aquatic plant that can quickly take over a lake. It forms a floating mat, depleting the oxygen in the water. A community volunteer event will be held at Port Morris Park in Landing to remove these invasive plants. Last year, they were able to remove over 9,000 lbs. in one day! The event will begin at 10am on Saturday, July 15th and pre-registration is encouraged. Click here for more information.
