The Byram Township Volunteer Fire Department was established in 1948.  The Fire Department covers the entire township, which is approximately 22.5 square miles.  There are three fire houses located throughout the town:
1.  Cranberry Lake building located on Route 206
2.  Lake Lackawanna building located on Lackawanna Drive
3.  Lee Hill emergency services building located on Lee Hill Road

Fire Prevention Week begins on October 6th

The Byram Township Fire Department recommends that all Byram Residents change their Smoke Detector batteries every six months, when you change your clocks for Daylight Savings Time.
