Byram Township has a Mayor and 4 Council members. The Mayor and all Council Members are elected at-large in Non-Partisan elections for 4-year staggered terms. Elected Officials enter office on July 1 of the Election Year.
The Township Council meets on the First and Third Mondays of every month at 7:30 PM in the Municipal Building.

Byram Township's elections are typically held every two years. These elections are held on the first Tuesday in May on the odd number years (ex: May 2001, 2003) Our last election was Tuesday, May 12, 2009.

The Mayor of the Township is a member of the Town Council. He presides over all Council Meetings. He has the same vote as all Council Members.
The Mayor serves for 4 years.
